From its heyday in the 1920s and 1930s right up until the present day, furniture and decorative items made in the Art Deco style have been immensely popular.

Interior designers and stylists, collectors and householders all share a desire for great pieces of Art Deco furniture and Art Deco decorative items to add style and panache to their homes, offices and other spaces.

Vintage Frank Lloyd Wright Imperial Squares Carpet 183 x 275cm 20th Century

This is a very elegant fine quality Vintage Frank Loyd Wright designed Imperial Squares carpet,dating from the  second  half of the 20th Century.    This beautiful carpet was hand woven in Tibet and has a 70% wool and 30% Silk, 100 knot pile base. It features black, gold and browns in geometric patterns.   Imperial Squares takes advantage of the many geometric concepts introduced architecturally in both the exterior and interior of the Imperial Hotel. This finely woven wool carpet has silk insets to enrich and enliven the square, diamond and pyramid configurations. The shimmer of the golden natural silk against the deep chocolate brown emphasizes the colours in the design devices. Note the square border which surrounds the centre and is again partially repeated vertically on both sides, evoking the feeling of an infinite repeat. Thsi carpet took around 8 months to make by hand and is in excellent condition. The original was designed for the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo, that Wright designed and after standing for more than 40 years in the Hibiya district of Tokyo, it was decided that the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, which opened in 1923, must be replaced. In 1968, the Main Lobby of the hotel was dismantled and relocated to the Meiji-mura Museum Village in Aichi Prefecture, where it was painstakingly reconstructed, repaired and preserved for future generations.    Add a touch of sophisticated style to a special place in your home.     Condition:   In excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation.

Vintage Italian Marquetry Inlaid Burr Walnut Cocktail Cabinet Mid Century

This is a stupendous vintage Italian Mid Century marquetry inlaid burr walnut drinks cabinet, Circa 1950 in date. The pair of doors with central satinwood floral cartouche inlay and extending star pattern parquetry open to reveal a stunning maple interior with a diamond pattern mirror back, a pair of glass shelves to display small glasses and mixers, and a central shelf for bottles etc. This is over a secretaire section with small drawers and pigeonholes,  above a sliding tray, for serving drinks, and two long drawers useful for bottle openers and corkscrews.  The beautiful carved and moulded apron with pierced C-scroll decoration and carved foliage,  raised on cabriole legs.   Condition: In really excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation.

Antique Art Deco Burr Walnut Dining Table & 8 Cloud Back Chairs C1920

A truly stunning antique Art Deco burr walnut dining suite attributed to the world renowned cabinet makers, Harry & Lou Epstein, comprising a dining table and the original matching set of eight cloud back dining chairs, circa 1920 in date. The rectangular shaped table has a stunning burr walnut figured top with rounded corners and stands on a decorative U-shaped base. The set of eight chairs are the highly desirable cloud back model and comprises two armchairs and six side chairs, all with curved backs that show the figured grain of the burr walnut beautifully and they have all been reupholstered in a sumptuous cream leather with cream leather piping.. This set is a fabulous and rare example of the Art Deco period and will enhance any room in which it is placed.  Condition: In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished waxed and the chairs reupholstered in cream leather, in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.

Vintage 5ft Biba Bronze Deco Lady Sculpture 20th Century

This is a stylish and high-quality solid bronze vintage Art Deco style Biba sculpture in the form of a sophisticated seated lady, frdating om the last quarter of the 20th century. This striking bronze features an attractive semi-naked lady with the classic voguish Biba  bob hairstyle holding a large round black marble serving tray. She is depicted seated rather timidly with her head slightly facing downwards, her facial expression showing a shy smile. A robe flows above her legs which are firmly tight together, with the serving tray on top. The lovely proportions of the body make the whole sculpture look graceful and also add to the feeling of dignity and finesse that surround the calm figure.  It is raised on a sumptuous elegant tall tapering squared stand, which adds an extra touch of grandiosity to the whole sculpture  This high-quality hot cast solid bronze jardiniere was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method. It features an attractive bronze patination and without a doubt, it will attract lots of attention wherever placed.   Condition: In really excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation.

This is a fantastic antique Art Deco satinwood demi lune cocktail cabinet by Hille and suit of Cut Crystal Glasses circa 1920 in date. It is of architectural form, made in figured satinwood, the upper part comprises a pair of doors enclosing a fitted maple and mirrored interior with a pull out slide, over a lower part with two doors that open to house the bottles. It is fitted with lights top and bottom that have been rewired so as to be in working order and comes complete with a suite of cut crystal glasses to include: 1x Decanter 6x Champagne Glasses 6x Wine Glasses 4x Sherry Glasses 2x Nut Bowls 1x Fitted juicer Cocktail sticks   There is no mistaking the timeless appeal of this highly collectable item. This cocktail bar would be a wonderful addition to your lounge or family room and is sure to get noticed wherever it is placed. Antique Art Deco Epstein Manner Burr Walnut Cocktail Cabinet Dry Bar c.1920

This is a fantastic antique Art Deco petit burr walnut cocktail cabinet in the Epstein manner by Turnidge of London, circa 1920 in date.  There is no mistaking the timeless appeal of this highly collectable item and it would be a wonderful addition to your lounge. It is of rectangular form, made in beautiful burr walnut, the upper part comprises a pair of doors enclosing a fitted birds eye maple and mirrored interior with a glass shelf and a mirrored slide for serving drinks below.  The interior of the bar is fitted with a light that has been rewired and tested.   The lower part has two doors that open to reveal a large fitted cupboard with a single shelf. The cabinet bears the makers label  'A Turnidge Product’,   With working locks and keys.   Provenance: The Lawrie Gatehouse Collection   Condition:   In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, French polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.

Antique Large English Art Deco Overmantel Mirror c.1920 137x182cm

This is a beautiful large antique English Art Deco overmantle mirror,  Circa 1920 in date. The elaborately shaped mirror features a finely carved gilded frame hand painted with flowers. It is surmounted with a beautifully carved acanthus crest and is further embellished with an engraved and coloured glass sunburst design to the top section. There are  three further mirrored and shaped panels below. The quality and craftsmanship of this stunning piece are absolutely superb. Add an elegance touch to any room in your home with this fantastic decorative mirror.   Condition: In excellent condition, with original gilding, having been beautifully cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
