A superb 19th Century Victorian mahogany Chinese Chippendale revival kneehole writing table by Edwards and Roberts, C1880 in date.
The desk having superb fret carved decoration typical of Chinese Chippendale furniture and has a single central frieze drawer flanked by a bank of three drawers on each side. There is also a useful pair of brush slides, one protruding out of each end. The desk top is fitted with an emerald green gold tooled inset leather writing surface.
It is raised on four elegant cluster bamboo supports that terminate in spade feet.
The desk bears the Edwards & Roberts impressed stamp on the central frieze drawer and is complete with working locks and keys.
This elegant desk will make a wonderful addition to your home.
