There is no mistaking the style and design of this exquisite dining set comprising an antique Victorian pollard oak and black line inlaid extending dining table, circa 1840 in date with a bespoke set of twelve dining chairs. This amazing table has five  leaves and can comfortably seat twelve. This striking table has been hand-crafted from solid oak which is not only strong, but has a beautiful grain. The top has been veneered in Pollard, oak with twin ebonised line inlaid decoration, which is seen in the intricate burr on the table top. The leaves can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion using the original superb and rare brass locking clips. The table is raised on four elegant turned and reeded legs that terminate in the original brass caps and castors.   The set of twelve bespoke walnut and marquetry dining chairs comprises ten side chairs and two armchairs. The chairs have elegantly carved solid walnut frames.  They all have drop in seats which are covered in a royal burgundy and gold upholstery. Underneath these upholstered cushions are weaved cane seats. This variation allows for cooler and more comfortable dining in the warmer summer months.   Whatever the function of this gorgeous set, it will make a profound impression on your guests and will receive the maximum amount of attention wherever it is placed. This impressive dining table is exemplary of the early Victorian era with its Pollard oak and delicate crossbanding. This amazing table has four leaves and can comfortably seat twelve. This striking table has been hand-crafted from solid oak which is not only strong, but has a beautiful grain. The top has been veneered in Pollard oak with crossbanded decoration, which is seen in the intricate burr on the table top. The four leaves can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion by a special winding mechanism, the leaves can be easily stored away when not required. The table is raised on four elegant turned and reeded legs that terminate in the original brass caps and castors. The fantastic antique English set of twelve mahogany shield back dining chairs are of "Hepplewhite" design, circa 1880 in date.   The set comprising ten side chairs and two armchairs, the shield-shaped backs with shaped and pierced splats have beautiful hand carved leaf swag, wheat sheath and anthemion decoration. The overstuffed seats are upholstered in sumptuous caramel brown hand dyed Scottish leather with double cone hand-springing and brass studs. They are raised on square tapered front legs that terminate with spade feet.   These chairs have been masterfully crafted in beautiful solid mahogany throughout and the finish and attention to detail on display are truly breathtaking.   It is rare to find such a large, fabulous and comfortable set of chairs and they will enhance this dining table beautifully.   Whatever the function of this gorgeous dining set, it will make a profound impression on your dinner guests or clients and will receive the maximum amount of attention wherever it is placed.   Condition: In excellent condition having been beautifully restored in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.

This is a beautiful vintage Regency style dining table dating from the late 20th century. This fabulous table was purchased from one of the beautiful conference rooms at Rothschild Bank in the City of London when they were having their renovations.   It dates from the last quarter of the 20th century, is fabulous quality and is in excellent condition. It is highly desirable to have large round tables for dinner parties as all the guests can talk to each other easily. The table top has been crafted from wonderful pollard oak  and has a crossbanded border with an ebonised inlaid line separating it. The fabulous centre base is reminiscent of George Bullock’s work and the central column stands on a shaped base with four beautifully carved lion’s paw feet with recessed brass castors. This fascinating table represents all the very best elements of English furniture making. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome table which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with your guests at mealtimes. This table is shown with a matching set of ten Vintage Regency style chairs which are not included in the price but are available if required. There can be no mistaking the fabulous style and design of this Victorian marquetry table hand-crafted from solid oak with the table top veneered in pollard oak and dating from around 1880. This lovely Victorian marquetry table has two leaves which can be added or removed enabling it to be extended as needed and making it an extremely flexible and versatile table that can comfortably seat six people. This lovely table has the added design signature of being oval when the extension leave is inserted but round when it is removed. Both the top and base of this Victorian marquetry table have been hand-made from solid oak. The top has been veneered in beautiful pollard oak which can be seen in the intricate burr on the table top, which also features a decorative band of marquetry on a burr walnut ground with a decorative carved and moulded edge. The marquetry has an arresting floral motif on a black background which makes the motif stand out from the surrounding decoration. These floral wheels are surrounded by foliate scrolls. And the pollard oak burr is also very distinctive. This gorgeous Victorian marquetry table rests on a heavy carved and turned central column with four supports carved with very distinctive dragon’s heads breathing out fire and raised on paw feet.
