This is a very fine antique pair of French bronze and ormolu figural candelabra, circa 1820 in date.
This finely cast pair of candelabra each feature darkly patinated classical maidens with ormolu twin-scrolled arms, ornate stiff-leaf sconces with internal drip trays. they are raised on cylindrical socles with finely chased ormolu banding on square stands.
There is no mistaking their unique quality and design, which is sure to be cherished by any admirer of French ormolu.
This high quality hot cast solid bronze pair was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method.
