This is a beautiful antique late 19th Century oil on panel  painting titled "The Centre of Attention", by H Schmidt and signed lower right.

The painting features a family admiring the centre of attention, a baby, all dressed in period costumes in a traditional interior. 

It is housed in its original and very decorative giltwood  frame and is in ready to hang condition.
