This is a magnificent antique French Art Deco bronze sculpture of a maiden serenading a dancing lamb, by the sculptor Henry Fugere (1872-1944), bearing his signature and circa 1920 in date.
This stunning sculpture features the remarkable figure of a naked maiden playing two horns while a lamb dances, mounted on a rectangular black veined marble base.
This high-quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method.
This is a splendid bronze sculpture and it will no doubt become the centrepiece of your Art Deco collection.
