This is a stunning pair of solid bronze cranes with a delightful green patina, from the last quarter of the 20th century.
This remarkable bronze pair features the two birds in a highly life-like fashion - with their characteristic long legs, tall bodies, and sharp, pointy beaks that they use for catching food. One crane is depicted with her neck out straight while the other crane is pulling her neck in close to her body.
This high-quality hot cast solid bronze jardiniere was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method.
This beautiful pair would make a fabulous display, indoors or outdoors in a garden. Without a doubt, it will attract lots of attention wherever placed.
