This is a wonderful and high-quality solid bronze sculpture - fountain in the form of a delightfull Neo-Classical lady holding an amphora, dating from the last quarter of the 20th century.
This beautiful large bronze statue features a composed lady dressed in Neo-Classical attire with a long vest and holding an amphora with both her arms on top of her left-hand shoulder. If require it can be plumbed into the wate supply and water will spill majestically from the amphora.
There is unspeakable beauty in the whole pose, which is full of dignity. Her face slightly turned downward dexter with her eyes closed, and the amphora gracefully placed on her shoulder. It is difficult to think of this work as a lifeless bronze - it seems indeed to move in front of our eyes, and yet to remain at rest.
It stands against a tall rectangular vertical bronze column, which looks perfect when being placed against a wall.
This high-quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method.
Without a doubt, it will attract lots of attention wherever placed.
