This is a stylish and high-quality solid bronze vintage Art Deco style Biba sculpture in the form of a sophisticated seated lady, frdating om the last quarter of the 20th century.
This striking bronze features an attractive semi-naked lady with the classic voguish Biba bob hairstyle holding a large round black marble serving tray.
She is depicted seated rather timidly with her head slightly facing downwards, her facial expression showing a shy smile. A robe flows above her legs which are firmly tight together, with the serving tray on top. The lovely proportions of the body make the whole sculpture look graceful and also add to the feeling of dignity and finesse that surround the calm figure.
It is raised on a sumptuous elegant tall tapering squared stand, which adds an extra touch of grandiosity to the whole sculpture
This high-quality hot cast solid bronze jardiniere was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method.
It features an attractive bronze patination and without a doubt, it will attract lots of attention wherever placed.
