This antique silver mug also has a stamp of the Bristol Goldsmiths’ Alliance, which was founded in 1882 with the merger of Charles Taylor and Co and William Langford and Sons, both of which were established in the early part of the century. The Alliance manufactured articles made of gold, silver, gems and metals that are suitable for artistic handiwork.
