A lovely street-scape watercolour on paper by Jules Lessore circa 1880 in date.

The watercolour features a busy street scene with people busily going on with their daily lives depicting a street with old shopfronts.

The artist shows a wonderful techniqe through transparent washes that allowed light to be reflected from the surface of the paper through layers of colour.
