This is an elegant antique George III Revival three pillar dining table with a set of tweve Chippendale Revival dining chairs, both circa 1880 in date.
The rounded rectangular table top with reeded edge is in flame mahogany which retains it's superb chestnut patina.
It has two leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion and can seat twelve people in comfort. It stands on three gun barrel sabre leg bases, the centre section on four outswept legs, the end sections on three legs, all the legs terminating in decoratively embossed brass castors.
The set of twelve antique chairs have been crafted from hand carved solid flame mahogany with drop in seats that have been upholstered in a sumptuous light tan leather.
The set comprises a pair of armchairs and ten side chairs that feature beautifully shaped and carved backrests with attractive entwined splats. The carvers have curved open arms and they all have splay legs to the back with elegant carved cabriole legs and ball and claw feet.
There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining set which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times.
