This is a beautiful Regency Revival flame mahogany and satin wood banded oval dining table and a set of six shield back dining chairs, dating from Circa 1980, made by the Master Cabinet maker William Tillman and bearing his label on the underside.
The fabulous 5ft 6inch flame mahogany tilt top table can seat six people in comfort. The top is decoratively crossbanded in satinwood with ebony and boxwood stringing. It sits on a mahogany hand turned column with quadruple swept fluted sabre legs that terminate in brass toes and castors.
The high quality set of six mahogany shield back chairs were also made by William Tillman. They arev made of solid mahogany and stand on square legs, joined by h-stretchers that make them very sturdy. The drop in seats are upholstered in a striking striped fabric.
There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome set which represents all the very best elements of English furniture making. It is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection and a talking point with guests at meal times.In really excellent condition having only been beautifully cleaned and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
