This is a beautiful English Edwardian mahogany and marquetry oval butler's tray, circa 1900 in date.
The tray features a Sheraton style design with beautiful marquetry inlaid decoration and it is of shaped oval form with a moulded edge, complete with brass handles at each end.
The tray showcases flamed mahogany, with a stunning central motif of a large shell crafted from satinwood and tulipwood with surrounding ribbons, swags, and tails, demonstrating the superb quality of the marquetry work.
It can be used for serving drinks or purely for decorative purposes.
