This is a superb antique Victorian Flame mahogany marquetry inlaid and satinwood crossbanded pedestal kneehole desk by the renowned Victorian cabinet makers Edwards & Roberts, , circa 1880 in date.
It is made from fabulous flame mahogany and the top features an inset green and gold tooled leather writing surface.
The top features an elegant ogee moulded edge and there are three drawers in the frieze as well as three graduated drawers in each pedestal, the central drawer is stamped 'Edwards & Roberts',. It has it's original brass handles and locks, the drawer linings are of solid mahogany with hand cut dovetails.
