This is a superb antique Victorian oak cased three decanter tantalus with decorative silver plated cut brass mounts and carry handles to the sides, circa 1870 in date.
The high quaity two lever locking mechanism is engraved with the name of the maker T.Turner & Co, London and is complete with working key.
The silver plate bears the makers mark D & A, for the silversmiths Daniel Arter, Birmingham, England.
It is a truly decorative piece which is also very practical and would make a lovely gift.
In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation. As an antique item, the tantalus shows signs of use commensurate with age, these minor condition issues are mentioned for accuracy and, as seen in the accompanying photographs, the tantalus display sbeautifully.
