This is a stylish and high-quality solid bronze sculpture in the form of a graceful dancing lady, in the Art Deco manner, dating from the last quarter of the 20th century.

This splendid bronze features a beautiful semi-nude lady with the classic voguish Art Deco bob hairstyle dancing elegantly. She wears a short skirt, her face turned on the right-hand side respectfully, her arms wide open and her right leg stretched upward sinister It features intricate, hand forged details with a beautiful fire-applied patina. The lovely proportions of the well-shaped body and the high-class pose make the whole sculpture look harmonious and dignified also add to the feeling of finesse that surrounds the dancing figure.

She stands on a sturdy round base.

This high-quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method.

Without a doubt, it will attract lots of attention wherever placed.

Lost Wax Method

sometimes called by the French name of cire perdue or the Latin, cera perduta is the process by which a bronze or brass is cast from an artists sculpture.

In industrial uses, the modern process is called investment casting. An ancient practice, the process today varies from foundry to foundry, but the steps which are usually used in casting small bronze sculptures in a modern bronze foundry are generally quite standardised.
