This is a golden bronze Gran Tour copy of the Roman faun that was dug up in Pompeii in 1830. The excellently cast faun is represented in a dancing pose and seemed to be joyous rather than drunk.
This high-quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method.
In excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation.
