This is a beautiful large antique oil on canvas seascape painting of a coastal scene, signed AJ and dated 1856 lower left.

This painting features fishing boats off the coast in a swell with one of them pulling in the nets.

The artist has used a very delicate palette of colours and has succeeded in adding some mystery to the scene.


Condition:

In excellent condition the painting and frame having been beautifully cleaned in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
