Here we have a large, contemporary, Regency dining table & chair set in a lovely burr walnut. The table is a Twin Pillar design and there are 12 “swag” style solid mahogany chairs included to complete the set.
The table is an expandable type which uses one or two expansion panels to take it from its smallest configuration up the the maximum where it can easily accommodate up to 12 people in comfort.
Size isn’t an issue - it expands when you need it to.
It its most compact format, this table is 192 cm long (6 ft 4 in) and 117 cm (3 ft 10 in) deep. There are two expansion panels supplied which, if both were added, would take the length up to 303 cm which is equivalent to a shade under 10 ft long. The table is 76 cm (2 ft 6 in) in height.
Due to its size and versatility, this table & chairs set would be at home in your dining room for sure but equally so in a commercial environment such as an office, restaurant, boardroom or in a conference room.
The table top is a very fine burr walnut surface which features a very interesting grain and which has been bordered with a delicately crossbanded satinwood border. He substantial tabletop is supported down below with a twin pillar base with each pillar featuring Regency style triple leg splay bases. The legs are finished with brass lions paw castors for ease of movement.
Seating Arrangements
The included set of twelve Regency style Swag Back dining chairs are a perfect complement to the Regency table. These chairs are made from solid mahogany by a craftsman who clearly understands a fine piece of wood.
There are ten side chairs, each measuring 89 cm in height (2 ft 11 in) x 50 cm wide (1 ft 8 in) x 48 cm deep (1 ft 7 in). In addition, there are two armchairs which are the same height but slightly wider at 54 cm or 1 ft 9 in. All of the chairs feature drop in seats. The seats themselves are upholstered in sumptuous fabric. Everything in this fine dining table and chairs set is contemporary and therefore in excellent condition.
