Just Sold by Regent Antiques – Antique Desks & Writing Tables

We have recently sold two very fine antique desks and, as we bid them farewell, we thought we’d just give you a quick look at what you have missed.

The desks in question were particularly decorative and attractive, as well as being functional and beautifully well made from the finest materials. First, let’s take a close look at this Antique Edwardian Inlaid Writing Table Desk c.1900.

This is a very attractive and desirable antique writing desk which is crafted from the most beautiful mahogany and decorated with fabulous inlaid marquetry decoration. The desk dates from around 1900. Of particular note is the striking inlay decoration which is clearly the work of a master craftsman.

The desk has five useful drawers which are mahogany lined and are perfectly for safely storing all the stationery you could possibly need, making it not just a symbol of refinement but an item of practical furnishing as well.

in terms of size, this table measures as follows: Height 76cm x Width 91cm x Depth 61cm.

Furthermore, this desk has a very striking gold tooled faded green leather inset and is supplied with original handles and a set of brass cap castors. It is also fitted with fully working locks and is supplied with a key.

This desk is finished on all sides so that it can stand freely in the middle of a room or placed against a wall if preferred. It was fully restored in our workshops before being shipped to its new owner.
