We start off with this gorgeous antique Victorian ormolu mounted amboyna and burr walnut desk, dating from circa 1870.
This lovely writing table is crafted from the most beautiful burr walnut with ebony banded decoration and boxwood stringing. The top is inset with a gold tooled tan green leather writing surface above two frieze drawers and it is raised on elegant twin turned tapering legs that terminate in carved trestles joined by a stretcher.
An added advantage is that it is finished all around so it can stand freely in the centre of a room and is sure to get lots of attention wherever it is placed.
Another striking item is this superb antique Victorian flame mahogany marquetry inlaid and satinwood crossbanded pedestal kneehole desk by the renowned Victorian cabinet makers Edwards & Roberts, dating from circa 1880.
It is made from fabulous flame mahogany and the top features an inset green and gold tooled leather writing surface.
The top has an elegant ogee moulded edge and there are three drawers in the frieze as well as three graduated drawers in each pedestal. The drawer linings are of solid mahogany with hand cut dovetails, and the table has its original brass handles and locks.

Next, we are delighted to show you this exceptional antique Edwardian mahogany writing table by Maple & Co, dating from circa 1890.
The shaped top is cross banded in various exotic specimen woods with an inset gold tooled green leather writing surface. The frieze has a lockable central drawer; when it is fully opened it releases two secret drawers, one on each side, via a spring lock. The central drawer bears a metallic maker’s plate stamped Maple & Co, London, Paris, Buenos Aires, By Royal Appointment.
This stunning desk is kidney shaped and finished on all sides so that it can stand freely anywhere in the room. It is raised on elegant turned and reeded legs united by a banded stretcher and is complete with original working lock and key by Hobbs & Co.

Our last featured item is this beautiful antique late Victorian satinwood Carlton House desk by the renowned retailer and cabinet maker Druce & Co, dating from circa 1880.
This magnificent desk is made from satinwood, which has been crossbanded in tulipwood bordered with boxwood and ebony lines and decorated to all sides. The top has an exquisite marquetry decoration of musical trophies, lyres and scrolling foliage.
Matching functionality with elegance, this antique Carlton House desk has plenty of storage compartments to accommodate all your personal and business papers.
The curved superstructure with a brass gallery has a central enclosed cupboard, flanked to either side by three small drawers, a further enclosed cupboard and a small drawer with curved hinged flap.
The desk features a pull out gold tooled leather inset writing surface. It has a capacious central frieze drawer with scroll spandrels, flanked by two short drawers to either side. It is raised on square tapering legs that terminate in spade feet with brass castors.
