These Antique Wardrobes Don’t Hang Around

We often take the humble wardrobe for granted, it’s just a place to hang our clothes, after all. So why do antique wardrobes deserve any more attention than that? The answer, is that they not only provide hanging space for your clothes but they also happen to look good – and that’s a good enough reason to buy most things.

Today we’ve selected a very fine English Satinwood & Tulipwood Antique Wardrobe which dates from around 1900 and offers an imposing appearance and a huge amount of storage:

These Antique Wardrobes Don't Hang Around

A Large and Imposing English Antique Wardrobe in Satinwood & Tulipwood Dating From Around 1900.

Here we have a very  large and impressive serpentine English antique wardrobe in the Edwardian Sheraton style and skillfully manufactured from fine quality satinwood and tulipwood. The wardrobe has been carefully and lovingly restored in our own workshops and offers a wealth of storage space to its new owner. The wardrobe is offered for sale at £4250.

Make no mistake about its size, however, at 7 feet, 4 inches high by 7 feet, 11 inches wide and 2 feet, 4 inches deep (Height 224 x Width 242 x Depth 70), this is a BIG wardrobe – at least 3 people at once could enter Narnia via this route!

If however, you have the space then a wardrobe like this will give your bedroom a very classy feel – and provide plenty of storage space as well.

The central section of the wardrobe is fitted with a pair of cupboard doors that open to reveal five very useful fitted trays, that slide out. These are ideal for storing linen, shirts, etc. There are also plenty of drawers as, below the shelves there are four oak lined drawers comprising two half width drawers over two full width drawers.

The wardrobe has its original brass handles and the original working locks and keys.
