This monumental early George IV antique library writing table is crafted from beautiful Gonçalo Alves and dates from Circa 1820.
The rectangular top features a moulded edge with the original inset tanny green leather writing surface that features beautiful hand tooled and impressed gilt decoration. It has two capacious drawers to the frieze and is raised on four turned, tapering and reeded carved legs which terminate in their original brass cup castors.
Complete with working locks and keys.
It is finished on all sides so that it can stand freely in the middle of a room, making it extremely suitable for a large home or office.
In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
