This is an elegant antique Regency Period dining suite comprising a Regency Period dining table, Circa 1820 in date and a set of eight Chippendale Revival chairs.
The table top is of beautiful flame mahogany and there is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining table which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times.The table is of rectangular form with rounded corners and a reeded edge. It is raised on twin "gun barrel" turned columns on quadruple swept sabre leg bases which are fitted with brass acanthus leaf decorated toes and castors. It has one leaf that can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion.
The superbset of eight Chippendale Revival carved mahogany open armchairs, datefrom the mid 20th Century.
They have been crafted from hand carved solid mahogany, each with a pierced splat back, drop in seats and raised on square cut supports with stretchers.
The seats have just been reupholstered in the finest teal damask fabric.
The chairs are a rich mahogany colour with a striking grain and good patina.
The botanical name for the mahogany this suite is made of is Swietenia Macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to CITES regulation.
In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished waxed and the chairs reupholstered in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
