This is a handsome antique pair of English sculptural Victorian walnut armchairs, circa 1860 in date.
Made from hand carved solid walnut, each with tapered backs, the original velvet upholstery in a beautiful gold colour. They feature crests of scantily clad putto, the outswept arms boldly carved with foliate masks, on turned and fluted tapered legs.
There is no mistaking their beautiful and stylish design, which is certain to make it a treasured addition to one of the rooms in your home.
