This is a superb Continental sterling silver-mounted Malacca walking stick, circa 1880 in date.
This decorative walking cane features a splendid globular sterling silver pommel which is cast with exquisitely detailed floral and foliate decoration. The elegant sterling silver collar is engraved with the English surname 'Bottomley'.
The sturdy Malacca tapering shaft features a further beautiful matching sterling silver band to the centre with splendidly cashed floral and foliate decoration.
It is complete with its original ferrule.
A truly beautiful piece that would make a fine addition to any antique collection.
In excellent condition with signs of use commensurate with age, as seen in the accompanying photographs, the stick displays beautifully.
