Lets start with this functional and decorative\u00a0Antique Carlton House Desk Edwards & Roberts c.1900<\/a>:<\/p>\n

As you can see, this is a beautiful antique desk, made from mahogany and inlaid\u00a0with a fabulous satinwood and mother of pearl marquetry of swags and swirls. This Carlton House desk is by the renowned retailer and manufacturer Edwards & Roberts, circa 1900 in date.<\/p>\n

The desk is fitted with lots of storage compartments to accommodate all your stationery and other items. There are three central drawers and four cupboards on top of the desk, plus two larger drawers in the frieze.\u00a0The desk has\u00a0four elegant tapering legs complete with\u00a0their original brass square cup castors. It is finished all round so can therefore be free standing.<\/p>\n

The top of the desk has been lined with a fine quality nearly black leather inset with gilt-tooled decoration. One of the drawer fronts bears the Edwards &\u00a0Roberts impressed stamp.<\/p>\n

We are proud to be able to offer this delightful antique Victorian jewellery box which was manufactured by H. Matthews of Birmingham in 1897. The lid has a blank cartouche which can be engraved with your own initials \u00a0The sides and the base of the jewellery box are finished in black leather.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0fitted and lined interior can accommodate rings, bracelets and pendants and is supplied with a working lock and the original key.<\/p>\n

The quality and craftsmanship throughout are\u00a0of the finest quality and it is supplied in excellent condition with no dings or dents.<\/p>\n

The box measures: Height 7 x Width 24 x Depth 9 (cm)<\/p>\n

This is a beautiful\u00a0English antique Victorian solid mahogany extending dining table<\/a>, dating from around 1880 and is offered for sale with a set of eight vintage Victorian style mahogany dining chairs.<\/p>\n

The table is fitted with two original leaves and is designed to comfortably seat eight people. Hand-crafted from solid mahogany, there are two leaves which can be added or removed as necessary by way of a special winding mechanism. The table is supplied with it’s original brass and brown porcelain castors making\u00a0it easy to move when required.<\/p>\n

There is also a set of eight Vintage Victorian style solid mahogany hand carved balloon back dining chairs supplied with the table. These are in the Victorian style to complement the table but are not antique. There are six side chairs plus a pair of armchairs, all beautifully upholstered in a fine damask fabric.<\/p>\n
