Let’s start with this exquisite pair of dark patinated bronze and gilded ormolu five light, four branches figural garniture candelabra, circa 1870 in date<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The pair is signed \u2018J. Salmson\u2019. French sculptor, Jean Jules Salmson (1823-1902), worked in Paris and participated in the French Salon exhibitions from 1859. He was rewarded with medals for his work when he participated in the World Exhibitions of 1867 and 1889 in Paris.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each of these two beautiful candelabra is cast in the neo-Grecian style, the scrolling angular candle arms with urn nozzles, surmounted by a further nozzle with scrolling finial supported by superbly cast classical maidens on circular bases, raised on square black marble plinths. <\/span><\/p>\n

The unique quality and design of this elegant pair are sure to become the centrepiece of your antique lighting collection. <\/span><\/p>\n

Next, we would like to show you this pair of highly decorative French green “Verde Antico” marble and gilded ormolu ovoid three-light candelabra, circa 1860 in date<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cVerde Antico\u201d is Italian for \u2018ancient green\u2019 and denotes a type of stone that has been very popular as a decorative facing stone since ancient times. As the name suggests, it is a dark, dull green, white-mottled or white-veined serpentine rock which takes a high polish.<\/span><\/p>\n

The branches and sconces are superbly cast as roses, with beautiful twin handles to the sides, and raised on acanthus and fruiting laurel socles.<\/span><\/p>\n

This impressive pair of candelabra is sure to be the centre of attention wherever they are placed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our third offering is this stunning antique pair of Sevres porcelain and ormolu wall lights, dated 1875<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

They have an elegant classical frame with a ribbon crest, a satyr mask below and upturned scrolling acanthus two branch arms with foliate cast sconces.<\/span><\/p>\n

They feature inset hand painted porcelain plaques depicting summer flowers and traditional courting scenes each on a stunning bleu celeste ground with gilt highlights. On the reverse, there are the interlaced marks for Sevres and the printed marks ‘S.75’<\/span><\/p>\n

These lights will soon instantly enhance the style of one special room in your home.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another very fine piece is this superb pair of gilded bronze candelabra, each with ten lights, elegantly set on attractive, cylindrical fluted black and brown bases made from solid marble, and dating from the latter part of the 20th century<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The candelabra comprise of a pair of green and black patinated putti, each being adorned in long flowing gilded scarves and each holding a ten light brown and clear tulip sconce with gilded leaves.<\/span><\/p>\n

This large and impressive pair of candelabra are sure to be the centre of attention wherever they are placed. These high-quality hot cast solid bronzes were produced using the traditional “lost wax” process, which is otherwise known as the “cire perdue” method.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, we are delighted to be able to offer this lovely pair of silver plated antique Victorian candelabra, circa 1880 in date<\/a>. These four light, three-branched table candelabra have the makers\u2019 mark of the renowned silversmiths Horace Woodward & Co of Birmingham, England.<\/span><\/p>\n

This stunning pair features detachable sconces and has elegant cast and engraved decoration with an additional special feature being the tripartite base raised on three dolphins, which adds that extra touch of class to these exquisite items.<\/span><\/p>\n
