English leather Chairs<\/strong> – These chairs are upholstered in top quality Scottish cow hide which has been hand dyed and antiqued. Because they are hand dyed we can finish the leather to any colour requested, and the beautiful antique patina is achieved by the special walnut based stains that we use in the process.<\/p>\n

The studding is achieved with close individual nails \/ studs not by using strips, and each nail is individually hammered in by hand.<\/p>\n

The show wood on the swivel chairs is solid mahogany and the frames are made from solid beech, so we only use hardwoods.<\/p>\n

The castors used on the swivel chairs are plastic twin wheel socket castors, we can fit brass castors at an extra cost of \u00a330 per chair, these look better but are not as maneuverable as the modern plastic version.<\/p>\n

Seats have individual double cone hand springing, each spring is hand sewn to the beechwood frame. The filling is canvas, fibre and felt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
