Comprising an open topped rack with slatted compartments it often has a drawer underneath with four legs usually on caster wheels. <\/p>\n<p>The design was reputedly made for the Archbishop of Canterbury (hence the name) in 1780s England and went on to become an ornate piece of furniture with an upper shelf and panels shaped with musical motifs such as lyres or treble clefs.
