They named their firm Storr &amp; Mortimer with a factory in Grays Inn Lane (now Road) run by Storr and retail premises in New Bond Street to be run by Mortimer.<\/p>\n<p>Due to Paul Storr\u2019s fantastic reputation from his years at Rundell, they soon built up a very influential clientele which included royalty, the aristocracy and upper classes. Despite this they suffered financial difficulties, mainly due to Mortimer\u2019s poor business acumen and overstocking their shop. Storr\u2019s nephew by marriage, John Samuel Hunt became a partner in 1826, having worked in the workshop as a silver chaser for many years.<\/p>\n<p>Storr retired in 1839 and died in 1844.
