John King<\/strong> was a silversmith working in London during the 18th Century.<\/p>\n

He was apprenticed in 1750 to Henry Brind and was then passed over to William Shaw in 1751.<\/p>\n

He was free by 1757 and entered his first mark as a plateworker in 1775 from and address in Little Britain, Smithfield, London. He continued to enter new marks with another in 1775, and then further marks in 1777, 1779, 1785 and 1789. By this time he had moved to Moor Lane where he is recorded as being until 1800.<\/p>\n
