What makes a partners desk different to any other desk and why are they so popular?<\/h2>\n

The reason is that, unlike a conventional desk, a partners desk is finished on both sides. This was originally to enable two people, partners perhaps, to work at the desk – one either side.<\/p>\n

Another reason for their popularity, equally valid, is that, because these desks are finished on both sides, they are not restricted to being placed against a wall. Instead, they can be placed anywhere in a room, even in the middle of one, and still look good all round.<\/p>\n

This is a large desk, measuring some 181 cm (5ft 11 inches) in width and 100 cm, (3 ft 3 inches) deep, but it provides very spacious accomodation for you, your partner if required, and all of the stationery and other accessories you are ever likely to need. this is largely due to the capacious storage facilities offered by the total of 12 drawers, (9 on the front, 3 on the back) and the two cabinets on the back.<\/p>\n

The desk is 79cm, (2ft 7 inches) in height.<\/p>\n

As an extra touch, and providing yet more storage, there is a bookshelf located in the kneehole which also serves as a modesty panel, as shown in this image:<\/p>\n

Somewhat wider than the previous desk at 195 cm (6 ft 5 inches), this impressive Victorian style partners desk offers space aplenty and has a very attractive burr walnut finish with a lovely green leather top decorated with gold leaf.<\/p>\n

Storage is again plentiful and comes in the shape of \u00a0three drawers across the top on each side and\u00a0on the left below the top drawer there are three dummy drawers which open to reveal a cupboard. On the right hand side, below the top drawer, you have a drawer with a filing drawer situated below.<\/p>\n
