Our first item is this\u00a0antique French flame mahogany and ormolu mounted music cabinet in the French Empire circa 1830:<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Just<\/a>

French Antique Furniture – Empire Music Cabinet c. 1830<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

This cabinet, which measures as follows;\u00a0Height 100cm x Width 71cm \u00a0x Depth 37cm, is decorated with pleasing ormolu mounts. The door has a mount depicting a Hippocampus – a mythological sea horse.<\/p>\n

\"Just<\/a><\/p>\n

The lower section of the cabinet has an arrangement of Canterbury divisions, these are ideal for storing sheet music The cabinet stands on a plinth base with bun feet.<\/p>\n

On the top there is a lovely Verde Antico marble top – a perfect complement for the rest of the item.<\/p>\n

Our next new arrival is this\u00a0antique French walnut, sycamore and ebonised bureau plat in the Louis XVI manner, circa 1870 in date<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Antique French Writing Table<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

This desk, which measures \u00a076cm in height x 159cm wide x\u00a088cm high has a decorative serpentine top with an ormolu floral and foliate edge, together with rococo ormolu foliate corner mounts.<\/p>\n

The writing surface is inset in antiqued green leather complete with a lovely gold toooled border, the leather being set within broad cross banding and boxwood stringing.<\/p>\n

There is\u00a0one long drawer and two short frieze drawers, each with ormolu handles and escutcheons on one side, and faux drawers on the other side thereby making it possible to use this st in the middle of a room and not necessarily against a wall. The table stands on elegant cabriole legs with ormolu foliate mounts.<\/p>\n
